Red and Racoon
“Trees are for birds”, laughed Mockingbird, looking at the wobbly ball of twigs, grass and moss.
“I’m trying to get some rest”, growled Red, rolling over. The ball swung a little, like a hammock.
“You really don’t know how silly you look! Living in a nest. Really! You’ll be trying to fly next”.
Red was getting tired of Mockingbird. She never seemed to get tired of teasing him.
‘It’s a drey, not a nest. They’re different things. And for your information some squirrels can fly. Are all Mockingbirds stupid or is it just you?’
